Judell DuLong (alternately known as "Judell Du Long") is widely considered to be the pioneer of female submission wrestling. Her company California Amazon changed the female wrestling subculture by introducing real competitive matches to the genre, and by making it available to the masses. Judell's venture brought the attention of many to what until then was considered a closet industry. Judell later established wrestling organizations in both Montana and Washington featuring a new roster of wrestlers for each organization.
